12. Snap the vanes into place making sure you face the front side of vanes towards main part of your room. The front side of vanes are the side that curve towards you.
13. View of outside mount installation bracket with valance clip/flange and depth adjustment bolt. Make sure the nut for depth adjustment is tightened at proper depth. Proper depth is when the slats clear the casing when rotated straight open.
14. Installation of the optional valance. Hold the valance up to the headrail and make sure it's centered. Place the top side of valance into the valance flanges and hit face edge firmly until seated into flange tooth like shown.
15. Along with the valance you would have received two side returns for each window along with a pair of clear corner clips. Hold the side return up to the wall like shown and make a mark where it meets front edge of valance.
16. Cut off the excess material at that mark with a pair of scissors or tin snips.
17. Slip the color co-ordinated valance return insert into the return piece like shown.
18. Add the clear corner clip to one of the ends of the return using the thinner opening side.
19. Trim off the excess return insert like shown.
20. Repeat for other return and snap returns on both ends of valance.
