Close Window Premium Lift Premium Lift System A manually operated mechanism, with a continuous loop lift cord. Since the cord is a loop, the hanging length never changes. Raising large, heavy shades is easy because the force is leveraged. There is no need for a cordlock because the clutch stops the shade when the cord is not being pulled. Required on 3-on-1 Cellular shades, on these there are two control cords, one for the left panel and one for the right panel. The center panel is controlled by either the left or right panel controls, specified at time of order. Close Window Cordless Lift Cordless Lift System The Cordless Lift System eliminates the visual distraction of cords, leaving your windows with clean, unobstructed views. Precise movement is assured with the Cordless Lift System. Shades are raised and lowered effortlessly, remaining level and equalized exactly where they are left. Close Window Motorized Tilt The tilt control on these blinds is operated by a Motorized system. This system is remote controlled so you must purchase at least one system with the Remote in order to operate the tilt. Close Window Cord Tilt The tilter is the mechanism used to rotate the slats from the closed to open position. This mechanism operates with 2 cords instead of using a wand to tilt the blind. Cord tilt is our preferred tilter mechanism. It is a sturdier, direct gear drive mechanism that works great for large, heavy blinds. Close Window Cord Lock Component in the head rail of a horizontal product, which enables the blind to be raised or lowered and locked into any position. Close Window Clutch Lift Control The clutch lift control is a continuous loop chain that allows for smooth, trouble-free performance while raising and lowering the shade. The shade may be positioned partially open and the clutch lift will hold it in position. Close Window Cutout Procedure where a section of the blind is cutout to allow clearance for obstacles (i.e. Door handles, window cranks, bolts, etc.) that may be in the way of the blinds. Close Window Horizontal Color Coordinated Components Color Coordinated means similar colors but not necessarily the same exact color. An exact match in color is not always possible for the components of the blind/shade. The color that best coordinates with the product's slat color will be chosen for use on the components. All components will not necessarily be of the same exact coordinated color. For example, you may order a Golden Oak colored product but the headrail does not come available in that color, so for this product the factory will have a coordinated color that they use which may be more of a cocoa color. The same is true for the other components of the product, such as the ladder strings, lift cords, tilter cord or tilter wand, bottom rail, and tassels. Close Window Shades Color Coordinated Components Color Coordinated means similar colors but not necessarily the same exact color. An exact match in color is not always possible for the components of the blind/shade. The color that best coordinates with the product's fabric color will be chosen for use on the components. All components will not necessarily be of the same exact coordinated color. For example, you may order an Candlelight colored product but the headrail does not come available in that color, so for this product the factory has a coordinated color that they use which may be a beige color. The same is true for the other components of the shade, such as the lift cords, tilter cord, bottom rail, and tassels. Some options may not be color coordinated such as beaded continuous loop lift chains. Close Window Cloth Tape Cloth tapes run vertically over the ladder strings of the blinds, the ladder strings being the strings that hold up the blind. These tapes have two distinct advantages, one is the ability to add an accent color to the blind and the other is that it offers a little more privacy than the standard ladder strings. Close Window One Way Draw The blinds all draw towards the same side of headrail. The track is reversible allowing for the controls to be on either the side of the draw or the side opposite of it. Close Window Two Way Draw The blind draws equally to both sides leaving the center space open. (Note: On all draw types, the track is reversible allowing for the controls to be on either side.) Close Window 1" Mini Blinds Valance Our 1" Mini Blinds come standard with a valance that is 1" wider than the blind. The Valance covers the headrail for a more appealing look. The Valance covers the headrail for a more appealing look. Shown Above is an Inside Mount Valance for a 2" Embossed Vinyl Blind. These optional valances are cut 2" wider than the blind. The valance consists of a matching decorative material, pvc or fabric, which is inserted into a standard channel panel type louver. The valance is used to cover the headrail for a more appealing look. Valance shown above is a Ribbed PVC Vertical Outside Mount blind. Close Window VERT-a-SHEER® - Sheer Verticals Valance Included free with our VERT-a-SHEER® Sheer Vertical Blinds is a coordinating 4 1/2" wide gathered valance. This valance covers the headrail and completes the VERT-a-SHEER®'s total design, giving it a classy, sophisticated look. Close Window Valance Corner Clip The valance corner clip is the piece that is used to attach the valance to the headrail. Close Window Hold Down Bracket Hold-Down Brackets are used primarily for outside mount blinds being mounted on doors. Hold-Down Brackets are not used for an inside mount. There is no charge for these brackets. Close Window Bottom-Up/Top-Down Bottom-up/Top-down shades can be lowered from the top or raised from the bottom with the use of 2 cords, one on the left and one on the right. Close Window Wooden Wand Tilter The wooden wand is is a rounded stick of wood or plastic, depending on the type of blind, that is attached to the headrail via the tilter mechanism. The tilter mechanism controls the rotation of the slats from opened to closed. Close Window Wand Tilt The tilter is the mechanism used to rotate the slats from the closed to open position. Wand tilt works fine for smaller windows where the Cord Tilt is for large, heavy blinds. Close Window Returns The piece that covers the ends/sides of the headrail. The returns along with the valance completely cover the headrail. Close Window Cafe Style A panel configuration in which a window opening has shutters on the bottom half and the top half is open. Close Window Divider Rail A horizontal shutter component that separates a single panel into two or more sections. The divider rail feature enables you to open a top set of louvers for light and opt to keep a lower set closed for privacy. On larger panels, divider rails may be required for added stability. Close Window L-Frame L-Frame can be used for both outside and inside mounts. Typically, they are utilized when shutter panels need to be projected away from the wall or window to allow for louver clearance. Close Window Z-Frame The Z-Frame style is typically utilized for inside mounts where the window dimensions are out-of-square and/or a decorative casing is desired around the window. The Z-Frame provides a square opening for the panels to be mounted in and disguises the uneven proportions of the window. Close Window Mouse Hole The arch-shaped recess in the top and bottom rails of a panel which allows full movement of the tilt rod to close the louvers. With our patented cufflink connectors the unsightly mouse holes are not needed. The louvers close tightly in both directions.
